Having recently started at MOTH as a sole Category Manager, this workbook will be super useful for me to refer to best practices, report examples, and ways of working. The workbook came at a great time this week, as I shared my first internal Category Report with the wider MOTH Team. It's easy to get wrapped up in the data and acronyms, and your workbook reminded me of some important things when sharing the slides with a wider, less data familiar audience; for example, an exec summary with the key takeouts for the lighter users, asking for feedback from the team to develop the report in future, and setting up a category & insight session towards the end of the month where I will actively take the team through the key slides in the report and the key insights / actions.

In my first 90 days I am planning on setting up some refreshable excel files to review the RTD range. Looking at the workbook, slide 19 (PDF) and the 'category deep dive' tab (excel) provide me with a really useful and easy to use template to create this - something which could have been time consuming to create and format from scratch.

I am also planning on doing some post-launch analysis for our two new NPDs, Cosmo & Paloma, and will definitely refer to slide 28 (PDF) for useful tips when doing so.
